The maintenance cycle for cranes varies depending on their level and usage, typically categorized as daily, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual maintenance. The most crucial periodic inspections are a monthly routine check and an annual comprehensive inspection.

1. Daily Maintenance

Frequency: Before and after each use.

Content: Check the hook, wire rope, brakes, and safety devices for sensitivity and reliability; check the power supply system, operating handle zero position, and rail obstructions.

After operation, clean the equipment and record the operating status.

2. Monthly Maintenance

Frequency: Once a month.

Content: Comprehensive inspection of the transmission mechanism, electrical component connections, and cable tray structural safety; disassemble and inspect major components, and develop a preventative maintenance plan.

Regulations require at least one self-inspection per month to ensure the equipment is in normal working order.

3. Quarterly Maintenance

Frequency: Once every three months (sometimes defined as Level 2 maintenance). Content: Focus on inspecting the wear and tear of the wire rope and verifying the calibration of the overload limiter; perform lubrication system maintenance.

Some sources indicate that the second-level maintenance cycle is every 3 months.
