To this day, many people still ask: Is a hydraulic lift platform considered special equipment?
With economic development, profound changes have taken place in people's lives and work. People are no longer satisfied with low-quality living and inefficient work. Hydraulic lift platforms have effectively freed people from heavy labor and met various working height requirements. Over time, lift platforms have become increasingly sophisticated, and their safety has been well guaranteed. For this reason, hydraulic lift platforms were removed from the Catalogue of Special Equipment in November 2014.
Hydraulic lift platforms do not fall under the category of special equipment and cannot be found in the latest Catalogue of Special Equipment. Only construction hoists and simple hoists are included.
Basis: Special Equipment Safety Law of the People's Republic of ChinaArticle 2This Law applies to the production (including design, manufacturing, installation, modification, and maintenance), operation, use, inspection, testing of special equipment, and the supervision and administration of special equipment safety.
For the purposes of this Law, "special equipment" refers to boilers, pressure vessels (including gas cylinders), pressure pipes, elevators, lifting machinery, passenger ropeways, large amusement facilities, and special motor vehicles in sites (factories) that pose relatively high risks to personal and property safety, as well as other special equipment subject to this Law as stipulated by laws and administrative regulations.
The State implements catalogue administration for special equipment. The Catalogue of Special Equipment shall be formulated by the department of the State Council responsible for the supervision and administration of special equipment safety, and implemented upon approval by the State Council.
