Common models of gantry cranes are mainly classified according to manufacturer, technical parameters, and structural form. Among them, MG, MH, and MHB are typical model series, widely used in various working conditions.
Classification by Manufacturer and Standard Model
Different manufacturers define their models according to national standards (such as JB/T 5663-2008) and their own product lines. Common examples are as follows:
Weihua Group
MH Type: Electric hoist gantry crane (light-duty), suitable for small-tonnage operations
Example: MH 5t-18m (lifting capacity 5 tons, span 18 meters)
MG Type: Double girder gantry crane (medium-heavy-duty), with strong load-bearing capacity
Example: MG 50t-30m A5 (50-ton lifting capacity, 30-meter span, working class A5)
MHB Type: Semi-gantry crane, one outrigger is movable, suitable for site-restricted scenarios
ZPMC
RMG Type: Rail-mounted container gantry crane, used in port container yards
Example: RMG 40t-40m (40-ton lifting capacity, 40-meter span)
RTG Type: Tire-mounted container gantry crane, trackless operation, high flexibility
Example: RTG 40t-7 rows (can stack 7 layers of containers)
Xinxiang Crane
LDA Type: Single-girder gantry crane, simple structure, low cost
Example: LDA 5t-22m (5 tons/22 meters) Double-girder gantry cranes are marked with lifting height, such as 100t/20m, H=12m (100-ton lifting capacity, 20-meter span, 12-meter lifting height)
China Shipbuilding South China Marine Machinery
GQ Series: Shipbuilding-specific gantry crane
Example: GQ4030 (40-ton lifting capacity, 30-meter span)
