The main material choices for boom lifts fall into two categories: high-strength, high-quality aluminum alloys and new high-quality steel profiles. Different materials correspond to different application scenarios and performance requirements.

High-strength, high-quality aluminum alloys: This is one of the mainstream choices, especially widely used in articulated boom lifts, scissor lifts, and mast lifts. Thanks to the low density (approximately one-third that of steel) and high specific strength of aluminum alloys, the equipment maintains lightweight while possessing excellent structural rigidity and stability. This material typically makes the overall weight of the machine only 1/3 to 1/2 of that of a comparable steel machine, significantly improving mobility and operational response speed. It is particularly suitable for indoor construction, shopping mall maintenance, exhibition hall setup, and other scenarios sensitive to ground pressure or requiring frequent relocation. Furthermore, aluminum alloys naturally possess excellent oxidation and corrosion resistance; anodizing treatment further enhances durability and provides a cleaner, more aesthetically pleasing appearance.

New high-quality steel profiles: Primarily used in heavy-duty outdoor work equipment such as articulated boom lifts, suitable for complex working conditions such as municipal engineering, power emergency repairs, and highway maintenance. These steel profiles possess higher absolute strength and impact resistance, enabling them to withstand greater loads and long-term operation in harsh environments. Their compact structure and flexible folding make them suitable for tasks requiring high-altitude operations across obstacles. Some key components, such as the boom guide rails, also utilize C-shaped steel to enhance guiding accuracy and load-bearing stability.
